Easter Bunny Funny Business

Today I met my parents at the mall so the kids could meet the Easter Bunny. Ry had his CNA boards and was unable to make it. Brady didn't even cry, he just sat staring at the big fuzzy hand holding him.
Alenna was very friendly to the Easter Bunny. After, we went and got loaded up on candy and rode the carousal. What a fun day!

Want Fries With That?

Does Anybody Else Find This Disgusting??
"GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Well, at least the salsa is low-cal.
The West Michigan Whitecaps, a minor league baseball team, will be offering up major league cholesterol, carbohydrates and calories in an enormous hamburger being added to the menu this year at the Fifth Third Ballpark.
The 4-pound, $20 burger features five beef patties, five slices of cheese, nearly a cup of chili and liberal doses of salsa and corn chips, all on an 8-inch sesame-seed bun. That’s a lot of dough!
The Grand Rapids Press reports that anyone who eats the entire 4,800-calorie behemoth in one sitting will receive a special T-shirt. Saner fans can divide it up with a pizza cutter and share.
The Midwest League team is a Class A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers."
I guess Americans are truly living up to their big fat reputations!

A Very PREGNANT Suprise!

Yes, you read that right.
I'm pregnant! Again. My head is still swimming...
Before any rumors start, I better clear a few things up:

No! We weren't trying and are shocked at how this happened
Yes! We took preventative measures...didn't matter, it was this spirit's time
Yes, we are still going on with our plan. Though 3 under 3 will be hard, nothing has changed plan-wise, if anything, it's more of a reason to go forth.

And no, I cannot hardly believe I am doing this again so soon. So not in the plan. At all.

But Heavenly Father doesn't give us anything we can't handle.
Ryan and my mom suspected I was because I have been so emotional. And hungry. And tired.
Ry bought a test last night at midnight so we could find out this morning, and sure enough!
Ryan, of course, has been wonderful. Running all about town to satisfy his crazy wife's cravings Which, FYI, are pickles.
So, Bergen Baby #3 due coming mid-Nov 2009!

A Hot Tip For All You Queen Creekers!!

A hot little tip:
As you may or may not have noticed our property tax just doubled. Lovely, right??
I spoke with my neighbor, who is also a friend of mine who's major is in real estate and property management. If you have been watching your mail carefully you may have noticed that Pinal County mailed out an assessment of our properties to explain how the taxes went up so dramatically. My friend, Jenn, said that because Pinal County's assessment records are so far behind they haven't taken into account the market crash just yet.
So, they are figuring all our values about $60,00 dollars more than they are actually at!!!!Please, everyone call and ask for an appeal form. These need to be turned in by the 20th of April. Pinal County will send out a property assessor and evaluate your property(s) for what they are actaully worth. Because the system is so off (it's all automated), the county will adjust your taxes appropriately and you will be able to re sum your smaller tax payments, and hopefully they can fix the problem.
Please pay attention to this or you will have to pay $2500( a year, or more!) out of -pocket when a simple phone call and some research could save you alot money and alot of hassle!!!! So stop the panic, its all just a misunderstanding!
Good luck!

It's A Wonderful Life!

So, Wed was our anniversary and I came downstairs in the morning to a dozen roses. How sweet is my husband??

A product of our love watching me cook our anniversary dinner. Ryan took Alenna on a long walk stopping at the park to play. We wanted her good and tired so we could spend the evening together! In the mean time I made dinner.

We did a "Surf & Turf" night with grilled rib eye steak and cod. I also made french fries (Alenna's favorite) with a side of macaroni salad! Yum! My mouth is watering just remembering how great everything was!

This is the french fries cooking in the deep fryer. I think it looks so cool!

My sweet hubby rented "Australia" for us to watch. But due to finals being today we decided to put off watching it so he could prep for his big tests! He was going to take his final early (on our anniversary) but decided he needed to spend the night with his girl. Sweet.

In other news, we found renters for our queen creek house! They are in a word: perfect.
They are LDS (no offense to anyone who isn't LDS, but it gives us comfort knowing that they are because we feel like we totally know about their life style and what not.)
She does hair, so the fact I have a salon in my house was a HUGE selling point, and she is trying to get into nursing school too. They fell in love with our house and at the end of the 2 year lease they will be buying our house! We were planning on landscaping our backyard for the renters (which was going to be a huge expense seeing as how we are in 1/3 of an acre.) But they said don't, they like the dirt. We need to convert our loft into a 4th bedroom upstairs, which is understandable. We feel like they are a perfect fit and Heavenly Father has really answered our prayers in a big way!

4 Years Of Marriage To My Best Friend

Today is our 4th wedding anniversary! I can't believe it's been that long!

2005- The Year It All Started:
Ryan worked for a pest control company, wanting to become a cop.
Lynette became a licencsed beautician and entered the real working world.
We worked hard at our relationship, learning all the pit-falls the hard way.
Good times, but in a lot of ways we're glad we're through that part!

2006- The Year Of Alenna:
Lynette became pregnant with our first miracle.
Ryan pursued his degree, at the last second backed out of helicopter pilot school (Huge blessing in disguise)
We visited Italy which was amazing. In Nov we were blessed with a healthy baby girl, Alenna!
And entered the world of dirty diapers, short tempers, and sleep-less nights.

2007- The Year Of Bloated Living:
Ryan was hired at D.R. Horton and Lynette could stay home spending her days with Alenna.
This was our bloated year, we bought what we wanted, ate where we wanted and had money.
We moved to Queen Creek and made great friends. Ryan worked hard and we played hard.
Things were looking great! We learned this year how quickly things change...

2008-The Year Of Brady:
Ryan worked as a Warehouse Manager for a large commercial electrical company.
Lynette became pregnant with our 2nd miracle and Alenna grew faster and faster!
Ryan sweat ed lay offs and the tough economy hit us hard. Ryan decided he needed a degree.
We were blessed with a healthy son, Brady! Everything was perfect.

2009-The Year We Began The Steps To Success:
Only 3 months in but so far Ryan decided to be a CRNA and is succeeding in every step!
We currently are moving in with Ryan's mom to put him through school.
With any luck, we will be going places again soon!
We committ to totally make a 180 degree turn around and insure a better life for our children!

Here's to you honey! Happy 4 years!!
Here's to another 4 and many many more!!
*kiss-kiss*

The Ghost In Our Bedroom

No, I'm not speaking metaphorically.
There is literally a ghost living in our bedroom. I think.
I haven't mentioned anything about it, not even to Ryan even though strange things have happened since we moved in about 2 years ago. For a while I just wrote it off as'the house setteling.' But, there is only so much 'settling' a house can do. Everyday at the same time I hear footsteps in our bedroom, it sounds like someone is walking around up there even though Ryan is at school or work, and the rest of us are downstairs. Because we live on a corner lot, I have thought many times that someone broke in. I grab a butcher knife and shakily walk upstairs tearing apart my room, always finding nothing.
Its been so bad before I have actually gathered up the kids, ran out to the driveway and called 911, certain someone was there. In tearing apart our room I find things that I knew I put away in places I knew weren't there before.
The hairs stick up on the back of my neck and I just know I'm not alone. I look under the bed, in the closet, every nook and crany thinking maybe someone is there. Always to no avail.

I'm not a believer in the paranormal or supernatural or whatever. I even stopped watching any and all scary movies because I believe these things are just designed to frighten ourselves. But, as LDS members we are taught the Spirit World is here on this Earth, and I cannot shake the this feeling of being 'visited.'
Alenna even notices it.
We don't talk about it.
I feel like in acknowledging it I have to admit it's really happening, or possibly we're just scaring ourselves. But, when we're in our room and she's in our bed, she will scream, "GOONEY!" and point to the other end of our room. She throws the comforter over her head and hides her head in the pillows. Her heart races and she shakes. Ryan walked around the room with her so she could show him and she freaked. Like I said, we don't watch scary movies and we certainly don't allow Alenna to watch anything scary.
It's not like we live in an old house or anything.
Our house is brand new. I find it odd and yet cannot deny it anymore.
I don't know anymore, I hate talking about these things but I hate that it's obviously not something just I am noticing anymore, anyone have any thoughts???

Watch out! He SITS!

As I previously mentioned my little man is sitting up! Today we were horsing around in the office and he was so mesmerized by Alenna running around. He sat up for about 5 straight minutes!
Not bad for a beginner!
Here he is again. Notice Alenna's leg in the background with a teething ring placed around it.
haha, what cuties!

Yeah, she didn't really get the whole 'go pose with your brother' thing.
She must've thought I meant sit on him.

My pretty princess.
Brady will do something like roll over, and Alenna will do the same thing and expect me to applaud her like I do Brady.
More later. I am in the middle of loading our truck up with things to be put in storage.
Sigh. I'm ready for my normal life back!

Family Picture Day

wow has today been insane!
That being said, we had some recent pictures of us taken today. I was reluctant, I still am carrying some baby weight. I don't know whats wrong with me, I am doing all the right things. I still feel so bloated and exhausted and starving latley.
Oh my gosh, it's insane!!!!
I know you're suppossed to be hungry when dieting, but I dunno, something is wrong with me I think! My friends and I started a weight loss blog and are all trying to take off "those-last- annoying-pounds" together.
Needless to say, despite the 1.5lbs I lost this week it still is a battle for me.
Anways, I was not wanting to remember my post-Brady-body but was talked into it by Ryan. We did some clever things today to try and hide my weight insecurites despite Ryan, my mom and the photographer saying I look great. Still put my mind at ease though!
The kids had their on and off times. Brady sat up for the 1st time today during his 'close ups!'
I was so excited! I couldn't believe it, we have been working on it but today he finally did it! Yeah!
He looked so handsome today and Alenna looked like a little princess.
After the pics, we drove up to the Superstition Mountians to eat at "The Minning Camp" tonight with my family for my grandma's birthday. The kids were so onry (can't say I blame them, after a long day, no naps and staying out way past their bed time...) luckily, we took turns pacing with Brady and in no time he had cast his spell on every woman in that place!
He was being passed to everyone, he left tonight knowing several new people!
Funny story real quick: Like I said today has been insane. I was in the room that used to be my salon coloring my hair and trying on different outfits. Alenna was, as always, in my shadow mimicking everything I did. She spotted my bra on the floor.
She gasps!
Pauses.
And says, "Mommy's Boobie Bag?"
I about died laughing.
So to all you who are sick of all our old family pictures I say; ' They are coming soon!'

Red Envelope

Get a red envelope. (You can buy them at Kinkos, or at party supply stores.)

On the front, address it to:

President Barack Obama

The White House1600

Pennsylvania Ave NWWashington , D.C. 20500

On the back, write the following message:

“This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion. It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world.”

We will mail these on March 31st, 2009.I wish we could send 50 million red envelopes, one for every child who died [in the U.S.] before having a chance to live. It may seem that those who believe abortion is wrong are in a minority. It may seem like we have no voice and it's shameful to even bring it up. Let us show our President and the world that the voices of those of us who do not believe abortion is acceptable are not silent and must be heard. Together we can change the heart of The President and save the lives of millions of children.

Please forward or link to or copy this post to your own blog.

**I cannot express how anti-abortion I am. Seeing as how we have such a liberal socialist leading our country I don't think this will do much, but hey, worth a shot right?

Many people say 'oh, we will never be able to over turn Roe vs. Wade, why even try?' I just have to say that is the worst attitude I have ever heard! We may never over turn it. But Roe has since come forth saying how wrong and confused she was and regrets what she did. (I love that commercial!)

There was this picture floating about the Internet several years ago I still have in my chest of special things I have kept over the years. A 15 week pregnant woman had an ultrasound and found that there was something wrong with her unborn baby's spine. The doctors operated. As they cut open the placenta, the little baby reached out and grabbed the doctors' fingers. Like how babies do.

How can you deny that's a life? I just don't understand. Its so evil it makes me cringe. And as far as I am concerned, in voting for leaders that support such evil acts those voters are just as at fault because they did nothing to stop it. Sorry to offend anyone but human life is something I will always defend! **

Some Quality Time...

Ryan coaching Alenna on how to use his stethascope.

How sweet are they??

Ry came home in his cute lil scrub top today and I just melted.

He looks so stinkin cute! I had to grab my camera!

This is Brady...just chillin.

Here Ry is in his official CNA uniform.

Cute right??

(Ignore the water spots. We have children.)

Ryan listening to Brady's sweet little heart. Alenna is very interested in this whole thing!

Alenna always walks around the house and randomly says," Daddy nurse! Grandma doctor!"

Maybe she will be either a nurse like daddy or a doctor like Grandma.

A little later, Ry and I were in our room talking. Alenna was just outside the doorway in the hall. The banister runs from our room, through the 2nd level and than of course down the stairs. Alenna was very quiet and when we went to see exactly what she was up to we found this. She gathered all the tassels she could find, (from my craft box of course!) and lined them up.

How cute is that?

After she ran out of tassels she moved onto gathering money and lining it up.
All down the hallway.

Of course I couldn't be mad after that.
She seriously makes us laugh at least once a day.
What a sweetheart!

Whale Songs

Hello Blog!
I feel like it's been too long.
Ryan started his 3 week CNA class yesterday. So far, he says its pretty slow. It reminds me of when you get a ticket and have to go to that stupid driving school and they teach 4 hours of material in 8 hours.
Long, and painfully boring.
Anyways, everything runs pretty slow for him usually, but this class is agonizingly slow I guess.
Its nice to have him up and going in the morning somewhere again though. Last night he came home with a stethoscope and a blood pressure measurer. He was playing with Alenna and listening to her heart beat and what not. I come down the stairs, saw him and
just melted.
He looks so amazing in his get up!!
I think my parents struggle with imagining him as a nurse (though he's not going to be a nurse for long, he's going to be a Nurse Anesthetist, but anyways..) and I had a little bit of trouble envisioning it too until I saw him last night all dressed up, it totally fits.
And, man, does he wear it well!
YUMMY!!
On to other things...Alenna is doing pretty well with potty training. Like I've said before, we're really not pushing it. Some days she does great and will go 2 or 3 times and other days she wants nothing to do with the potty.
That's ok, baby steps.
She speaks in 3rd person, which really makes me laugh because I haven't heard any of her friends speak in 3rd person, it's just her. Ryan assures me its totally normal, in his words "That's why they made Elmo speak in 3rd person. Because most little kids do."
She tells us, "Alenna happy!"
Or she will sit on my lap, sigh sweetly and say, "Alenna sad."
That's new and it still brings a quiet smile to my face, not that she's sad, just that she's so sweet about it. She loves her Book of Mormon, it has a picture of Lehi and Sariah in it, and she always points to Sariah and screams her name. (she has a friend named Sariah and she thinks they're the same person, lol) She loves to sing, she sings "Itsy Bitsy Spider" all the time and I can actually recognize the tune which is amazing. She loves "Book of Mormon Stories (that my teacher tells to me)", and she has the hand motions down! She runs in circles and jumps up and down shouting "Alenna dancing!" whenever there is music on.
For the most part she is a very happy child.
Brady is very close to crawling. He scoots a little bit and can turn from his back to his front and to his back again. He is discovering his voice and likes to yell whenever he can. He is on cereals now and totally loving it. Our "little" Brady is 20 whopping pounds, only 6 pounds lighter than his sister who is 2 whole years older than him! Brady has been a little sick lately, but we think he is coming out of it. Its scary to have little ones during RSV season. Brady absolutely adores his older sister and always want to be around her. She can always make him laugh, and I think the feeling is mutual. I swear they were friends in the pre-existence!
We have this little on-going joke about Brady being a whale. Whenever he suspects that he's alone in a room he begins to call out for us, much like whales do in the wild! Its a very disinct call, just like a whale song. Once he spots us, it stops. He is so funny.
I just love being a mom. I don't do it because I have nothing else to offer the world, opposed to what the liberal media teaches.
I genuinely love it.
I know I was meant to be a mom. It is my whole joy. Some people love to write music, some love to cook, some love to sing, I love to be a mom. My kids are every joy. I love seeing them do new things for the first time, discovering the world around them, feeling what the cool grass feels like on their warm bodies. What a cool job I have.
Speaking of which, my little whale is singing...
