{Daddy! It's Your Birthday?!}

 

Saturday was my best friend's birthday! Happy 27th to Ry Ry!

We got up and I made breakfast burritos and fruit smoothies (from scratch...)

 

Than Ryan opened presents....Brady got him a matching tie set they can wear together to church!

 

He was proud of himself....LOL

 

Despite the fact I ordered his birthday gifts 2 weeks ago, two of them didn't even show up on time!

Blast you internet!

 

Luckily his 'big' gift arrived on time, (whew!)

 

I arranged for his good friend to come and take him shooting, I was sad I couldn't go...but I'm pretty sure its frowned upon to take a three month old to an open firing range ;)

 

Oh food....why do I love thee so much??!

I threw a BBQ for our friends and family to come over and celebrate Ryan.

Than we played "Fact or Crap!" Which, I think, was a game invented just for Ryan....

and Alenna and Katie rode bikes....despite the cold rain!

 

And, I'm sorry to say, homework doesn't rest on your birthday....

After he was finished we watched G.I. Joe (not worth your time)

{Date Night!}

Tomorrow is Ryan's birthday, so last night I surprised Ryan with a special date night! 

What kind of surprise would it be if we went out on his actual birthday?!

 

He was shocked, yes!-mission accomplished. I'm so bad at keeping things from him...

 

He's been wanting alligator, which they serve at the restaurant inside Bass Pro Shop.

 

Any excuse I get to dress up makes me happy...

Ah, the famous alligator- it came with a sweet dipping sauce. The breading was spicey!

It was a lot better than I anticipated it being...

 

Than I took him to see Avatar at the IMAX, which is the only way to watch it!

 

It really was a good movie, I brought Shaylin and she held onto me so tightly! 

(It was a very very loud movie)

She didn't make a peep though!

 

Yep, that's how we roll ;)

Aw, they DO love each other!

 

Than off to church! Daddy got called into work....so we came home and this kid went to night night!

 

And Alenna & I made a special Valentine's dessert for after dinner...

Worms In Dirt, which she LOVED making (and eating!)

We're waiting for the pudding to harden so we can add the gummy worms and oreos!

Than off to Freestone Park to feed the ducks!

 

She thought it was pretty cool...though she does hate being outside; she is all girl...

 

The babies stayed in the double stroller...Brady loves water a little TOO much....

 

Ryan came home just as I was putting the kids to bed. 

He made me a very wonderfully romantic dinner, Cod and deep fried Calamari, which is my favorite.

He is an awesome cook!

Than we watched half of Couple Retreat and fell asleep, haha!

I love Valentine's Day! Its so great to remind the people around you that they are special!

Though I try to everyday.
